Sunglasses and Eyewear Featuring Baby Genius(R) Characters Slated for Holiday 2012 Retail Debut

SAN DIEGO, June 26, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Genius Brands International, Inc. (GNUS), developer and marketer of entertainment products including the award-winning Baby Genius(R) line of music and education-based products and characters, today announced it has signed a licensing agreement naming Sunscape Eyewear as an eyewear licensee for the Baby Genius(R) brand. Sunscape is a global manufacturer and distributor of high fashion eyewear and accessories with established distribution channels throughout the U.S. and around the world.

The two-year agreement grants Sunscape rights to manufacture and distribute worldwide Baby Genius(R)-themed eyewear for boys and girls ages 0-4 years featuring the beloved Baby Genius(R) characters. Product categories include sunglasses, eyewear and eyewear accessories such as croakies and cases.

The initial line of products will debut in time for the 2012 holiday season, and will be targeted to the nation’s largest mass retailers including Walmart, Toys ‘R’ Us, Babies ‘R’ Us and Target. (full release here)

Genius Brands International Reports Strong Showing at Licensing EXPO 2012 – June 19, 2012

In the past few years Genius Brands has licensed its Baby Genius(R) brand in several categories where product manufacturers and marketers are reaping the benefits of Baby Genius(R)’s strong brand recognition which supports sales of products designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Genius Brands International Successfully Increases Branding and Product Offering Through Groupon – June 6, 2012
