BTR: BonTerra Rushes Mineralized Drill Hole on the Eastern Extension Property for Assay, Quebec

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Marketwire – Nov. 1, 2010) – BonTerra Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BTR – News; FRANKFURT:9BR – News; the “Company”, “BonTerra”) announces the completion of the first two drill holes on the Eastern Extension property. The first hole, BA-10-01 (originally reported as BU-10-04) twinned a historical drill hole completed in 1997 by Xemac Resources (BL-97-16). The second hole drilled by BonTerra (BA-10-02) also targeted the zone 2 on the Eastern Extension property. Both holes had large zones of smoky quartz veins mineralized with sulphides (primarily pyrite & pyrrhotite) as well as tourmaline. This combination of quartz veins, tourmaline and sulphides is ideal for gold mineralization in the area.

The first drill hole on the Eastern Extension, BA-10-01 (148.60 metres long) has been sent for rush assay to ALS Chemex in Val d’Or, Quebec. The company decided to have both this hole sent for rush assay due to the intensity of quartz veining, sulphides and tourmaline. Drill hole BA-10-02 (94.50 metres long) is currently being split. Once this is complete this drill hole will be submitted for assay.

The Company has chosen to employ a full quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) system for every batch of samples submitted to the lab. The QAQC samples include a standard, duplicate and blank. The Company is currently drilling the third hole on the Eastern Extension property (BA-10-03). Geologica Inc. of Val d’Or, Quebec is responsible for overseeing the drill and sampling program on behalf of the Company.

Mitchell Adam, President, states, “We are extremely enthusiastic about our drill program on the Eastern Extension Property. The company looks forward to receiving the assays for these two holes in the next few days.”

The Eastern Extension property is located approximately 170 km NE of Val-d’Or and 125 km SW of Chibougamau in the Barry and Bailly townships in James Bay, Quebec. The Urban-Barry property is situated just west of the Eastern Extension property. Neighboring Companies in the region are Metanor, Amseco, Beaufield, Eagle Hill, Glen Eagle, Urbana and Freewest, Murgor and Noront.
